Miniloc Island Resort is set in a peaceful cove in El Nido, Palawan. Designed like a coastal village, the resort offers a wide range of tours and beach or water activities.

Built with native materials, rooms feature thatched roofs and wooden flooring. Each air-conditioned room comes with a minibar, a wardrobe and a vanity area. Private bathrooms provide shower facilities and a hairdryer.

Resort activities include diving, windsurfing and Hobie Cat sailing. Sunset cruises and cave, lagoon or mangrove tours are available. Guests can also enjoy the natural scenery and swim with the 1.5 metre jack fish and a variety of marine species.

International dishes can be enjoyed at the restaurant, located at the Miniloc Clubhouse. Picnic lunches on the beach can also be arranged.

Miniloc Island Resort can be reached via a 75-minute charter flight from Manila to El Nido (LIO) Airport. Free transfers are provided from El Nido Airport, which is a 40-minute boat ride to the resort.

Awesome place, a must visit

This place gives you an awesome experience, the location could not be any better, you are just next to the top attractions of el nido, but at the same time, you are on a very private place. The hotel includes complementary tours that cover most of what you would do on El Nido, and they are very easy to be arranged and mixed with the other plans you might have. The hotel is very well maintained, clean, the stuff is very friendly. The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner is very good, you get different type of foods every day, if you like seafood there will always be a lot of it fresh seafood too. The drinks are very good, and reasonable price. The snorkeling is a great experience, the snorkel kit they provide is good and you can spend many hours swimming around the hotel and finding great and unique fishes. It was a bit hard to plan my arrival, I suggest you contact the hotel at least 2-3 days before you arrive so they can pick you up, for the check out I was allowed to stay a bit more around the hotel and have lunch before going to the airport, unfortunately we had some problems with our flight but the hotel called me to help me and they were very helpful on that. Overall, a great experience for our honeymoon.

Truly one of the best places you can stay in the world. Could not have asked for more.

The one weakness is the drinks on property could have been better, fortunately they are not overpriced. Also, labeling common allergens on the food would be very welcome and avoid asking the staff repeatablely (who are very helpful)

Had an amazing stay at Miniloc. Beautiful resort with lovely, warm and helpful staff. Best thing are the activities and proximity to the best sites in El Nido.

Great stay in Bacuit

Amazing service. We missed our first night due to international flights issue and the hotel was extremely helpful. The hotel also offers a lot of complimentary excursions / activities and they are all worth it! The rooms are nice as well. The location could not be more perfect as it is right next to the big lagoon! and you can kayak there for sunrise and literally be on your own!

The food could probably be improved and the gym was a bit outdated.

fantastic!

everything! from the warm welcome of the people to the jetty port, the tour guides, all the resort staff in miniloc! big shout out to Anj our tour coordinator and to the onsite manager for making sure that my husband get to have a wonderful birthday celebration even though we need to checkout the day earlier. the food selection were great! i love the fact that they serve traditional pinoy food too which makes my coming home to the phils more memorable. the maruya they served reminded me of my younger summer days I spent with my grandparents in the province… all the tocino and crabs and fresh fish they served not only filled my belly but soul! brings so much memories of me growing up in the phils. thank you to whoever our chef is! also to dang(?) one of the tour guides for making sure i survive the rocky path to secret lagoon and the huge waves of ahimizu island! 3 days is not enough at all! i’ll definitely stay for a week next time… also dont miss the happy hour, if you really want to get a buzz! the bartenders dont skimp on the alcohol i love their tequila sunrise!

not really the property but the booking. experience such as talking to whoever responds to the inquiries takes a long timeto respond so i was a little stressed when tryi ng to coordinate the trip. the only reason im giving this a 9 instead of perfect 10… ***not really a dsilike but just for full transparency the toilent flush are recycled water from sewage so the toilet kind of stink. maybe the management can have some sort of bathroom diffuser of some sort to minimize that…

Amazing location, very beautiful island and relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious and varied and the staff very friendly and helpful. We loved that they provided tours to Big lagoon and small lagoon during the times when no other tours are there.

Small piece of paradise

location is excellent, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Great for snorkeling, and boat trips around the island. We really enjoyed the bar and Pool vibe.

The beach rooms are just ok. the bed was not as comfortable as we expected. Still with an excellent view. I recommend staying at a water bungalow instead. Still worth the stay

What was the highlight of El Nido Resorts Miniloc Island

Well first of all we didn’t stay at Miniloc since it was closed for renovations so they Upgraded us to Lagen Island which is a nicer resort but I think I would have liked the Miniloc resort location more, since it has more activities to do, Lagen is more of a relaxing and just chill place. Having that said, The Lagen Island resort location is great if you just want to chill at lagend, the Island and resort are beautiful. And that is pretty much what you are paying. Staff is overall nice and very caring, the Tours offered by the resort are also good and the Guides are very friendly but sometimes it can get crowded on the boat... definitely not ‘’exclusive’’. Overall a good experience but an expensive one too.

The food wasn’t great to be honest, at least for what I felt I was paying for. I’ve been at other resorts at the Philippines with better food options. The rooms are also kinda avarage, even the water cottages... Sometimes the staff was too intense, They called me 3 times while I was sleeping and I even disconnected the phone and they kept calling. Definitely not the best way to treat a guest.

The resort is beautiful and close to so many beautiful attractions. The diving was awesome, we saw some really awesome things. The staff are awesome, they are really well trained, helpful and very friendly.

It can get a little boring at night but you are so busy in the day time that it doesn't worry you to much.

The location is beautiful, the staff are super friendly. Best part of the stay was our tour guide Gee who we had for a couple tours. Beyond friendly and knowledgeable about all of El Nido!

First room we were given was horrible. Especially for the amount we paid, it was the most expensive place we stayed in the Philippines, and the rooms was bad. We complained and were upgraded to a newer room, but don’t think anyone should’ve been staying in the one we were given. Also, the food was not good. Definitely catered toward Asian clientele, and disappointed that you have “set” hours you can eat.

The staff were amazing - we were both sick one night and the dr came straight away and gave us the medication we needed, the staff let us check out late because we didn't feel well. The chef even made us some plain rice outside of meal times so that we could eat something gentle. The reef outside the beach is one of the best we've seen in the Philippians without diving. The food was great and the had a salad bar! (Rare if you stay on the mainland) this stay was fantastic - the inclusive trips to snake island and the cave made our stay even better and the sunrise kayak to the big lagoon beat all the tourist trips so we could see some of the more easily scared wildlife like Philipino kingfishers and Palawan hornbills (highly recommend)

We didn't know that there was a gym until the last day.

Beautiful islands and sea. The resort is aging but location, staff and well timed activities contributed to an outstanding time.

Mini lock needs updating. A pool would be a well received improvement. Food was good, but could use more variety. The wine menu needs work. Poor choices, marked up rediculously. There are many inexpensive but far better wines available in Manila.

The Miniloc’s location is amazing. The resorts is located close by the main attractions as Big and Small Lagoon in El Nido. The hotel offers kayaks that you can use it to reach out those attractions easy.

Our room’s air conditioner didn’t work well, we tried to put it colder but it wasn’t possible, it was seemed broken. About the shuttle to the port. They didn’t inform us that we needed to pay for the shuttle extra fee (USD100,00) to get the shuttle early, luckily we could share this fee with another guests.

The hotel has a nice bar, pool table, beachside seating and very nice staff.

The Water cottages are not actually bookable on booking.com which lead to us booking the deluxe Seaview room thinking it was actually the water cottages. When we were lead to our room it was in the opposite direction to the deluxe rooms which are just standard rooms really. The main photo you see everywhere of this hotel is of the cottages yet they aren’t considered the best. The most expensive room in the hotel probably offers the least. The value for money is possibly the worst of any place I have ever stayed, it’s just like any other 5 star hotel in the Phillipines that you would only pay $300 a night to stay in. No pool and the beach water is shallow and rocky. Food is quite mediocre for a hotel of this stature.

- Perfect location at El Nido’s probably most beautiful island, Miniloc. You can even kayak to some of El Nido’s most popular attractions such as the Big and Small lagoons before the first tour group arrives, or after the last tour group leaves - Several free activities including tours before tours from El Nido town arrive, and access to private beaches and Lagen resort - Food is simply extraordinary, beating any buffet restaurant in Singapore and many top restaurants in the Philippines - Free lunch before checkin and after checkout - A place where the staff goes great lengths to pamper you since the moment you arrive at the Air Swift check in - Eco responsibility, like recycled water, no plastic and so on - Punctuality of tours and meals

not many things to not like but just to nitpick: - staff almost forgot to bring one our bags to the airport - lack of information about non-tour free activities such as snorkeling and kayaking. I mean, they bring guests from other resorts to do snorkeling at Miniloc and we didn’t know we could do. Also we didn’t know we needed to bring rash guards because of the plankton / jellyfish season and had to rent there - some kayaks need repair - WiFi kinda crappy - as an eco resort, maybe they shouldn’t lend fins to guests as some coral is shallow and can be easily damaged
